Disney Springs News
Planet Hollywood Observatory at Disney Springs announced that celebrity chef Guy Fieri is developing some of the new menu items – mainly burgers and sandwiches.
Prime Time American Kobe-Inspired Burger, Turkey Pic-a-nic Sandwich, and a lobster roll are some of the items we can look forward to enjoying. Guy Fieri is known for his Food Network shows “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and “Guy’s Grocery Games”.
Planet Hollywood is undergoing a $25 million renovation and I have not seen the official opening date announcement yet.
Blaze Pizza opened August 5th for a great new quick-service option. This is a build your own pizza with the dough being made in-house, and pizza and salad ingredients are free from artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
If you are traveling to Walt Disney World before September 30th, are an annual passholder, and have some friends who want to go to the Magic Kingdom with you, then there is a great deal for you. Only $79 and you can get a 1-Day Park Hopper for up to 6 friends. This is a great deal at half off the regular price.
New dining options are now apart of Tables in Wonderland.

Tables in Wonderland is a discount program that costs $175 for Florida Residents and $150 for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members. As a Tables in Wonderland member you will receive 20% of food and beverages (including alcohol).
In the Parks
After 17 years it was deemed a hand gesture that Steven Tyler made in Rock ‘n’’ Roller Coaster is inappropriate and needed to be modified. Steven Tyler posted on Twitter a response with a very inappropriate hat asking Walt Disney World what they thought it meant, but then adding he will see them next week.
September 14th will be the end to Sum of All Thrills and StormStruck at Epcot Innoventions. After this date the only attraction left in Innoventions East will be Colortopia by Glidden. What do you think is coming to these locations?
The Jungle Book : Alive with Magic is ending on September 5th at the Animal Kingdom. No opening dates have been announced for Rivers of Light.
The Main Street Electrical Parade will end its run at the Magic Kingdom on October 9th. Much to my disappointment the previously reported rumor that Paint the Night could be coming over in its place has been put to rest by Disney. Paint the Night will be brought back out in Disneyland during the busy times around Thanksgiving and Christmas.
A new family-style raft attraction if coming to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon that is called Miss Fortune Falls. This new attraction should be open in Spring 2017 and will be one of the lengthiest in either of the 2 water parks.
If you are a Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom fan, there is a new card that is available during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party. This new card is based on Clawhauser from the movie Zootopia.
Starting September 2nd Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire, the new show in front of Cinderella castle, will have a new ending.
Busses will be running busses from the theme parks to Disney Springs after 4pm.
Free insect repellant stations throughout the property.
New magic band design that would allow for interchangeable bands and your RFID being housed in a small circular object that is best described as a small puck. It is being tested and but nothing official has been announced.
Latest episode of Unofficial Guide’s Disney Dish with Jim Hill talks about Ellen’s Energy Adventure getting demolished for a new attraction themed around Guardian of the Galaxy. It is still early in the process yet and the lawyers are still hashing out the details. What are your thoughts?
In another episode he also speculated that Stitch’s Great Escape is being replaced with Wreck-It-Ralph attraction.
