Angie got into running with the encouragement of a friend.  This friend also wanted to complete a runDisney race and talked Angie into going along.  From the time they decided to do the February 2016 Disney Princess Enchanted 10k race to race day was about a 9-month span.  Angie used the Jeff Galloway training program that incorporated a run-walk-run method to get into shape.

They stayed at the Polynesian Resort in the deluxe studio villa that was booked by Angie as a Disney Vacation Club member.  The room was perfect because it had two bathroom areas for them to get ready.

The runDisney process requires that you plan in advance.  These races have a tendency to sell out quickly. Angie was able to sign up for the race in advance as a DVC member.  Her friend needed to wait until it was open to the public to register.

Once they arrived in Orlando they needed to go to the Expo to pick up their race bibs the day before the race. On race day they used transportation to get over to the starting line at Epcot.  The race is fun with character meets available along the course.  You are required to maintain a 16 minute per mile pace. Both Angie and her friend completed the race and loved the experience and want to return.  They spent the day after the race at Epcot.

The Keys to the Kingdom tour was full of information.  They enjoyed this tour.  The tour included a couple of rides as well as a ton of information about the park.  They spent the evening after the tour at the Magic Kingdom.

The last day was spent enjoying Disney Springs.
