Katie Miller joins us to share her Disney Cruise Line sailing from Vancouver to Hawaii.  Then we will spend some time with Disney news this week.

First I would encourage you to check out the blogs Katie wrote on her website.

Katie sailed from Vancouver and had a pre-cruise stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel.  It was a great location for sailing out of this port.

A highlight from once Katie made it to Hawaii was her visit over to Pearl Harbor.  She decided to travel as an excursion the ship offered rather than going on her own.  There are limited spaces to visit the USS Arizona and this would guarantee she would get to visit.

Weekly Distraction
Rivers of Light   – Animal Kingdom’s nigh time show will begin on April 22nd., Earth Day and the theme parks birthday.  Not only will this be the debut of the show set on the Discovery River in the Asia section of the park, we will also see Tree of Life Awakening.  Each night magical fireflies and animal spirits will be brought to life on and around the parks icon.  But wait there’s more!   Dance parties and mini-parades will not to mention the night time safari at Kilimanjaro are turning the Animal Kingdom into the must-do theme park for this Spring and Summer.

Seasonal Pricing is here to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Seasonal pricing was the big story that was implemented for one day park tickets.  However, in my mind the bigger story was the overall price increases for multi-day tickets.  Being an accountant in my day job it was easy to see that these increases for the 5-7 day tickets (what my family typically buys) went up 7-8%.

Disney Cruise Line announces 2 new ships for 2021 and 2023.  These new ships are going to be 135,000 gross tons which is slightly larger than their 2 latest ships the Dream and the Fantasy.  There is also rumors around a new private island.  With Disney you can’t count anything out.
